Plagiarism and Publication Ethics Policy

At Panoply Journal, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. Our policies align with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines to ensure integrity, fairness, and transparency.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable, including:

  • Direct Plagiarism: Copying text, data, or ideas verbatim without citation.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Reusing one’s previous work without proper acknowledgment.
  • Paraphrasing Plagiarism: Rewording others' work without credit.

Screening: All submissions undergo plagiarism detection. Manuscripts with plagiarism exceeding 10% will be rejected or returned for revision.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

  1. Immediate rejection of the manuscript.
  2. Retraction of published work if misconduct is detected post-publication.
  3. Notification to authors’ institutions or funding bodies.
  4. A ban on future submissions.

Publication Ethics

  • Authorship: All listed authors must have contributed significantly to the work.
  • Acknowledgment: Properly cite all sources and funding contributions.

  • Corrections: Authors must promptly notify the journal of errors or inaccuracies.

2. Duties of Reviewers

Publication Malpractice and Misconduct

Any unethical behavior, including data falsification, duplication, or plagiarism, will result in:

  • Investigation following COPE guidelines.
  • Communication with the involved parties, institutions, or ethical boards.
  • Corrective action, including manuscript rejection or retraction.

Ethical Research Standards

  • Human and Animal Studies: Submissions involving human or animal research must include proof of ethical approval and participant consent.
